In this vein, you will sometimes see bloggers logging their food intake or tracking their workouts. Other times, the diet or fitness blog is written more as a resource, providing recipes or workout tips.

While it can be scary to put yourself out there like that, it is a great way to garner support and encouragement, as well as keep you honest about your intake and exercise level. Sharing recipes and tips draws in new readers with like-minded goals enabling you to connect with others on your same path.
